Club Showcase

SCE is starting off the new school year with the Week of Welcome Club Showcase on Sept. 18 at 10 AM, to show the new engineering students what SCE is about. Contact Nathan Scalla if you would like to help or receive more information.

Cal Poly Wins at the National Concrete Canoe Competition!!!

June 17-19, Cal Poly wins the National Concrete Canoe Competition hosted at Cal Poly. This is the first time the Cal Poly Concrete Canoe Team has won this national title, and the first time any school has ever won while simultaneously hosting the competition. The team placed 1st in final product, oral presentation, and overall races while also placing 2nd in the design paper.

Cal Poly Wins the Robert Ridgway Award

Cal Poly was just announced as the recipient of the Robert Ridgway Award. This award is given to the single most outstanding student chapter for the Society of Civil Engineers. Some compare this award to winning the collegiate championship, but for civil engineering. Cal Poly's enthusiasm, community service, joint projects with other groups, and the outstanding members and officers helped to make Cal Poly the best.

Volunteers Needed for National Concrete Canoe Competition

Cal Poly and SCE will be hosting the 23rd Annual National Concrete Canoe Competition from June 17th-19th. We will need a lot of volunteers during the event and help to prepare for the event in the next few months. If you are interested in volunteering at the competition or anytime down the road please email Matt Hernandez at mherna13@calpoly.edu and let him know what you may be interested in.

This is open to all students and alumni who are interested.
