Alumni! Cal Poly SCE has witnessed a monumental year in 2009 AND 2010 AND 2011 by receiving the renowned ‘Robert Ridgway Award’. This award is received by a single chapter in the entire nation and symbolizes the best chapter in the calendar year. This is the third year in a row recieving this award.

Student/ Faculty/ Alumni Barbeque and Softball Game 2011
Cal Poly's ASCE student chapter cordially invites all Cal Poly alumni to attend the annual Student/Faculty/Alumni Barbecue! The barbecue will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at El Chorro Regional Park, across highway 1 from Cuesta College (follow this link for directions). Events will begin at 11:00 AM with with a barbecued feast of tri-tip, chicken, sausage and grilled vegetables. A vegetarian option will also be offered. After lunch, the alumni and faculty will take on the students in a competitive game of softball. Last year, the alumni/faculty team took home the coveted title, so the student team is hungry to win it back again this year! The softball game should end around 4:00 PM.
There is no cost to attend this BBQ and no experience or gear needed to play in the softball game. However, if you do have your own glove, please bring it, as we will have a limited number of them. This BBQ is a great way to meet and hang out with current students, alumni and faculty alike in a fun and relaxed environment. So come on out and enjoy some delicious food while hanging out with your favorite alumni!
